Gorgeous Showstoppers and Stylish Guests at Lakme Fashion Week 2010

Bollywood dazzled with glam & oomph on the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2010. If fashion designer Neeta Lulla celebrated 25 years of being in the film industry at the just concluded Fashion Week, the extravaganza also saw budding designers like Neeta Gupta's young daughter Msaba Gupta.

However, the Indian fashion scene is incomplete without a dash of Bollywood glamour and to raise the oomph bar who else could be better than the hot B-town females as the showstoppers. The Dabanng starlet Sonakshi Sinha stopped the show Killer Nari - designer Narendra Kumar with the brand Killer, sexy Chitrangada Singh's fairy dress wasn't that impressive but the lady definitely rocked the ramp with her sensuous look.

Back to India, Mallika Sherwat made her presence felt as she entered in a vibrant yellow dress for Anita Dongre's show.

For the first time LFW was visited by Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan who were there for the designer Nachiket Barve on Day 3.

Here are some of the dazzling showstoppers and fashionable celebs from the fashion week:

Shruti Haasan
Kamal Haasan's pretty daughter had fallen sick before she took the ramp in a blue saree by Puneet Nanda for Satya Paul on Day 3. She managed to look lovely in spite of looking pale.

Chitrangada Singh
Chitrangada Singh walked for the designer Arpan Vohra in an intricately-worked bodice, tulle skirt teamed with a sheer churidar. Sounds horrible! But the good gracious lady cat walked perfectly.

Nandana Sen
Believe in flower power! It was just the flower crown that looked awesome on Nandana Sen as she sashayed down the ramp for the designer Digvijay Singh's Indo-western fusion collection on the first day of the LFW. From her dress to footwear nothing clicked with us.

Mallika Sherawat
Sexy in yellow! Mallika Sherwat has perfected the yellow look, is this the "Hissss" effect! She created frenzy with her presence at Anita Dongre's fashion show. The pony tail, simple make-up and dollops of oomph completed her shocking appearance while flashbulbs just adored her.

Sonakshi Sinha
Sonakshi Sinha turned a svelte biker-chic with for Narendra Kumar's "Killer Nari" collection. The hat, funky glares, frilly top and skinny jeans though looked high on street fashion, Sonakshi made it to look more glam. The uber-chic!

Koena Mitra
Koena Mitra walked for Rajat Tangri's "Vintage Romance" collection which is said to be a will-power shimmery dress with pink edging on the sides. We liked the shimmer, but the pink and the dress looked a bit tacky. Very unimpressive! The lady in black also made news for kissing the designer Rajat Tangri.

Sridevi
As her friend celebrated the 25 years of excellence and success in the Bollywood, actress Sridevi glided on ramp in a silver off-shouldered gown for Neeta Lulla. Though Neeta's collection was inspired by her own Bollywood work running to almost two decades and the dresses were in bright colours keeping the opulence and the festive season in mind, Sridevi's dress couldn't make an impression.

Preity Zinta
Preity Zinta's pink, bubbly dress was as lovely as any one of the fresh ramp creations. Preity Zinta was at LFW for her friend designer Manish Malhotra.

Pooja Batra
Pooja Batra walked like a diva in an earthy creation from the Irzina Kara or the Ravishing Earth collection for the designer Babita Malkani. Her flowy off-shouldered dress with 3D effect looked wonderful.

Diana Penty
The demure Diana Penty wasn't less than a showstopper for the designer Manish Malhotra's marvelous bridal collection. Velvet, chiffon, net laced with embellishments completed the designer's show of splendid ready-to-wear couture dresses.

Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan
The Guests of Honour enjoyed their time with the designer Nachiket Barve. Well-"suit"ed Amitabh and lady in black saree Jaya caught the live fashion action for the first time in LFW history.

Priyanka Chopra
PC looked dull if not boring. The mini black dress didn't quite work for Yanka. Bring on some oomph babe!

Sophie Choudry
Sophie Choudry walked for Malini Agarwalla's "Flamboyart" collection for her label Malaga which was a concoction of pictures, fabrics and shapes revealing the beauty of diverse and traditional India. Sophie's zaftig fig and oriental ramp look stunned the onlookers.

Tabu
Blue was the colour for the reticent Tabu. After so many months she comes in public, no doubt she pulled all stops to look elegant and stylish.

Diana Penty was not less than a showstopper for Manish Malhotra splendid collection.
